Intro to Cut and Paste on all devices

If you know all about how to cut and paste on your device you can skip this text. But there are still people starting to out every day.

On Android: Select All, Copy and Paste

To copy the text from the box on the Emoji keyboard, you tap and continue holding your finger down in the text box to bring up the keyboard and the copy and paste menu. You should see a menu that lets you "Select All" and "Copy". So first click "Select All" to select all the text including your emoji, then select "copy". To paste you have to press and hold in a text area in an application, this should bring up a paste menu.

If you just tap without holding down you only get the keyboard.

On iOS: Select All, Copy and Paste

To copy the text from the box on the Emoji keyboard, you tap in the text box to bring up the keyboard. You then tap on the text to bring up the copy menu. You should see a menu that lets you "Select All" and "Copy". So first click "Select All" to select all the text including your emoji, then select "copy". To paste you have to press and hold in a text area in an application, this should bring up a paste menu.

On PC: Select All, Copy and Paste

Use the mouse, click inside the text box and drag to select the text. Then right click to get the menu that lets you copy the text, left click on "copy" in the menu.

You can also use the keyboard shortcuts: ctrl+a to select all, ctrl+c to copy, ctrl+v to paste.

Hey, please just add a button to the emoji keyboard...

There is not a button in the emoji keyboard that lets you do copy text to the clipboard because it is not possible to do in Javascript and HTML. The user has to use copy and paste in the way the device dictates. So there is not a reliable way make select all and copy with a single button.
